QUICK APPLE STRUDEL 
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
5 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. milk

Sift and mix together the dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with a dough blender. Add milk, mix well. Put on a floured board and knead a little and then roll into a rectangular shape. Spread with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 1/2 cups sliced apples. Roll up like a jelly roll. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost while warm with powdered sugar frosting.
