TUT'S TOFFEE | |
35 saltine crackers 2 sticks butter 1 c. light brown sugar 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. chopped pecans (or walnuts) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line jelly roll pan with aluminum foil. Combine butter and brown sugar and microwave 4 minutes on High. Meanwhile, place saltines 5 across and 7 down in lined pan. Remove butter and brown sugar from microwave and spoon over saltines. Bake 12-13 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and cover with chocolate chips. When chips soften, smooth over saltines with bottom of spoon. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill 30 minutes and break apart. |
