HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. cracker crumbs
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/3 c. flour

SAUCE:

1 (13 oz.) can pineapple chunks
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. coarse chopped bell peppers

Combine first 5 ingredients. Mix lightly, but thoroughly. Shape into 30 small balls and roll in flour. Brown in 3 tablespoons of shortening. Drain off excess fat. Let set until sauce is ready.
