ANGEL PIE 
3 egg whites (at room temperature)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. sugar

Butter a 9-inch pie plate and set it aside.

Beat egg whites in the small bowl of mixer for 1 minute, then gradually add the sugar as you continue beating. Beat for about 5 minutes or until the egg whites are stiff. Spread the beaten egg whites on the bottom and sides of the pie plate to form a "crust".

Bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool and fill with your favorite filling. It is good filled with ice cream and frozen. Also good with fresh fruit like strawberries or raspberries in a glaze or with lemon filling.
