2 lb. frozen hash browns
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 pt. sour cream
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Mix together all ingredients. Place in casserole, bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until casserole bubbles in middle. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
