SPOON NOODLES | |
2 c. chow mein noodles 1 c. chopped nuts 1/3 c. honey 1/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 1 c. butterscotch chips Combine chow mein noodles and nuts in a mixing bowl; set aside. Combine honey, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a full boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add morsels. Stir until melted and smooth. Pour sauce over noodles and nuts. Mix gently until coated. Drop by heaping teaspoons on wax paper covered cookie sheet. Let stand until set or chill until firm. Makes 32 candies. |
