SWEET-SOUR COLE SLAW 
1 med. cabbage
2 lg. onions (optional)
7/8 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed

In large bowl alternate layers of thinly sliced cabbage and onion. Cover with 7/8 cup sugar. Mix other ingredients and boil for 2 minutes. While still hot, pour over cabbage. Cover and chill for 24 hours.
