PUMPKIN BREAD II 
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. canned or real pumpkin
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamontsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cloves
3 1/2 c. flour
2/3 c. water
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 bread pans. Mix shortening, eggs, sugar, and salt. Add pumpkin, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and flour. Gradually add water, nuts, and raisins. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Use toothpick to check when done.
