COLESLAW 
2 1/2 lbs. shredded cabbage
2 1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. + 2 tsp. vinegar
1/4 c. chopped onions
3/4 c. Real mayonnaise
3/4 tsp. celery seed
1 carrot grated with a potato peeler

Mix thoroughly by clean or gloved hands until slight moisture is noticed in bottom of bowl.

Lemon juice substituted for vinegar in part or all seems to keep the salad fresher longer and may taste better.
