CORNED BEEF 
1 pkg. fresh corned beef
Whole cloves
1 lg. onion, cut in chunks
1 bay leaf
4-6 potatoes, peeled and quartered

Rinse corned beef with cold water. Insert whole cloves on both sides of meat. Place meat in a large Dutch oven. Add onion and bay leaf and cover with cold water and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat, cover and simmer about 3 hours. Add potatoes and cook 20 minutes more.
