LASAGNA 
SAUCE:

1 to 1 1/2 lb. hamburger, browned
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
2 tbsp. parsley
12 oz. can tomato paste
16 oz. can Spanish-style tomato sauce
1 can tomatoes
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. hot water
8 oz. can sliced mushrooms

Simmer for an hour.

CHEESE FILLING:

1 lb. Ricotta cheese
2 eggs
8 oz. cottage cheese

Mix together.

1 lb. Mozzarella
1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

In deep 9 by 13 pan put a thin layer of sauce, 3 cooked lasagna noodles, another thin layer of sauce, cheese mixture, Mozzarella, then Parmesan cheese. Top with 3 more noodles, sauce cheese, 3 more noodles, then remaining sauce. Bake uncovered 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
