DEEP DISH PIZZA PIE 
1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell
1 lb. pork sausage
3/4 c. chopped onion
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
8 oz. can pizza sauce or tomato sauce
3 slices Cheddar cheese, cut in half diagonally

Prick bottom and sides of pastry shell with a fork; bake at 425 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Let cool on wire rack. Combine sausage and onion, and cook until sausage is browned; drain well. Combine eggs, milk, and seasoning; beat lightly. Stir in sausage mixture and shredded cheese; spoon into pastry shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Spread pie with pizza sauce, and top with Cheddar slices. Bake an additional 5-8 minutes or until cheese triangles melt. Yield: 6-8 servings.
