CREAMY METHOD PASTRY 
2 c. flour
2/3 c. shortening, (lard)
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. cold water

Mix flour, shortening, salt and cold water. Makes 2 pie crusts.

LARGE BATCH:

6 c. flour
1 lb. shortening
3 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cold water

Put half the flour and all of the shortening in a large bowl, add salt. Mix until creamy. Add remaining flour and water. Mix and roll out.
