GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter flavoring
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 package German Chocolate Chocolate (Sweet)

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, flavors and buttermilk. Mix well after each. Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add german chocolate that has been softened in a warm oven or double boiler. Blend together well. Cook in 9 inch stem pan, greased and floured. Bake 1 1/2-2 hours at 300 degrees until toothpick is clean. While cake is hot place under tight fitting cover or seal with foil until cool.
