2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. sugar (optional) 1 1/2 tsp. shortening 1/8 c. warm water 1 tbsp. evaporated milk Shortening for frying Combine flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add water and milk; work into dough. Divide the dough into 12 balls. Roll each to 1/4 inch thick, cut in half and fry in shortening at 450 degrees. Yield: 24. |
