1 c. real butter
2 c. sugar
5 c. flour
4 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. or less salt
5 tsp. baking powder
Milk to moisten

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and mix well. Gradually add flour and other ingredients. Add enough milk to make right consistency. Roll out on floured surface about 1/2 inch thick. Use a jelly glass for a cookie cutter. Nuts, raisins, and/or chocolate chips may be added for variety. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
