BEEF & ONIONS 
2 tbsp. oil
3 c. onion rings
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sherry
1/2 lb. tender beef
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sherry
2 tbsp. oil

Heat 2 tablespoons oil and saute slightly 3 cups onion rings, thinly sliced. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 1 teaspoon sherry; continue to heat a second or two. Remove from pan.

Dredge 1/2 pound tender beef (top round), sliced fine with mixture of 2 teaspoons cornstarch, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 teaspoon sherry. Heat pan. Add 2 tablespoons oil and saute beef. Add onions to the beef. Heat thoroughly and serve hot. Serves 4. Serve on rice or noodles.
