TEA CAKES 
3 c. flour, sifted
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 c. soft butter
1 egg
3 tbsp. cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Beat eggs, cream and vanilla together. Add to mixture. Roll dough out on floured surface and cut in desired shapes. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Dough may be refrigerated. This recipe also makes a sweet crust for pies if desired.
