SWISS STEAK 
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. beef boneless bottom or top round, tip or chuck steak, 1/2 inch thick
1 tbsp. shortening
1 (8 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 med. onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
1/2 sm. green pepper, chopped (1/4 c.)

Heat shortening until melted. Cook beef over medium heat until brown - 15 minutes. Mix leftover ingredients and pour over beef. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender - 45 minutes. 4-5 servings.
