1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. raisins
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cook to boiling and cool.

3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. nuts
3 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. oil

Add oil to sugar and stir. Add beaten eggs and blend. Add raisins and water and mix well. Sift flour into mix. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
