SHOO FLY PIE 
3/4 c. dark molasses
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

TOP LAYER:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Dissolve baking soda in boiling water; add molasses and vanilla. Combine brown sugar, flour, and Crisco to make crumbs. Pour 1/3 of liquid into unbaked pie crust; add 1/3 of crumbs. Repeat until all of the mixture is used. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
