WILD RICE SALAD 
1 c. uncooked wild rice
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
6 hard cooked eggs, chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. prepared mustard

Wash one cup wild rice and add to 3 cups boiling water. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 1 hour in this water. Drain, rinse and cook with water until well done. (Usually only 10 to 15 minutes.) Drain rice and while hot add the brown sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper.

When cold add the cooked eggs, onion, mayonnaise and mustard. Toss all together and chill. I have added other chopped vegetables to the above such as 1/2 cup celery, 1/4 cup green peppers.
