INDIAN PUMPKIN BREAD 
2/3 c. butter
4 c. brown sugar
1 c. crushed pumpkin, cooked
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. apple juice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts, walnuts or pecans
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. baking soda
1 c. applesauce

Cream butter and sugar together, then add the eggs, 1 at a time. Beat until mixed well. Stir in applesauce and pumpkin. Sift the dry ingredients together and add with the apple juice. Stir in nuts and pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
