CRANBERRY COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 egg
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
Confectioners' sugar (opt.)

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and soda; set aside.

Beat together butter, sugar and brown sugar 2 minutes. Add milk, orange juice and egg; blend well. Reduce speed to low. Blend in dry ingredients. Stir in walnuts and cranberries. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Best if cookies set a while, they flavor through.
