SWEDISH KRINGLE 
A very flaky 'pastry-like' delicacy.

CRUST:

1 c. flour
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter

Mix together like pie crust. Divide into two parts and pat down into 2 (3 x 15- inch) strips on ungreased cookie sheet.

TOPPING:

1 c. boiling water
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
Confectioners sugar frosting

Remove boiling water from heat and add butter; stir until dissolved. Add flour and mix until smooth (will be thick). Add eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after each addition. Add almond extract.

Spread topping over crust strips. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 55- 60 minutes. Cool and frost. Cut into squares to serve.
