TAMALE PIE 
2 c. boiling, salted water
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. cold water
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. tomatoes
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 sm. can sliced ripe olives
1 tsp. cumin
3/4 c. grated cheese

Mix cornmeal with 1 cup cold water. Add this to boiling water. Cook 10 minutes. Brown beef, green pepper and onion. Cook 5 minutes. Add olives, tomatoes and seasonings. Line bottom and sides of oblong baking dish with cooked cornmeal. Fill with meat mixture, sprinkle top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
