BAKED CLAMS CASINO 
2 doz. clams
6 strips bacon
1/2 c. minced onion
1/4 c. minced green pepper
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. tomato sauce
3 tbsp. clam liquid
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 or 3 drops Tabasco
Bread crumbs
Chopped parsley

Steam clams until opened. Reserve 3 tablespoons clam liquid. Remove top shells. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place clams in shallow baking dish. Cook bacon until crisp, drain on paper towels and crumble. To bacon drippings add onion and green pepper and cook until tender. Season with lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco to taste. Add tomato sauce and clam liquid. Spoon mixture over clams in half shells. Top with bacon and bread crumbs. Bake approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and drawn butter. Garnish with parsley. 4 servings.
