1 box chocolate cake mix (not with pudding in mix)
1 lg. pkg. chocolate pudding (not instant)
5-6 bananas
1 can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1-2 c. unsalted peanuts, walnuts or almonds
2 med. Cool Whip

Make cake according to package. Let cool and cut up into medium size squares. Layer as follows in large glass bowl: chocolate syrup, cubed cake, sliced bananas, pudding, nuts, whipped cream. Make layers. Do not press any of the ingredients flat. Spread pudding gently. Top last layer with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Can garnish top with shaved chocolate or cherries.
