AUNT KATIES CRUMB CAKE 
4 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
3/4 c. shortening
1/8 tsp. salt
3 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in water

Rub sugar shortening, and flour together into crumbs. Remove 1 cup crumbs. Mix all ingredients until well blended. Pour into greased pan. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

This can be made as 2 cakes or 1 very large one. Recipe is at least 100 years old.
