FRIED OKRA 
1 lb. okra
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. flour
1 c. corn oil

Cut okra in 1/4 inch pieces. Beat egg, salt and pepper together. Pour okra into plastic bag and add egg mixture. Shake. Mix flour and cornmeal together and pour over okra and egg mixture. Shake. In heavy skillet heat oil and add okra mixture. Cook and stir until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
