STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES | |
1 jar grape leaves 3 lbs. ground beef or lamb 1 1/2 c. rice Lemon juice Salt and pepper to taste Place grape leaves in boiling water for a couple seconds. Put into strainer to drain - cut off stems. Mix rice and ground beef, salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Take one leaf, put small amount of meat filling and roll it up putting the end sin while finishing rolling. Roll leaves tight. When finished rolling, put them in a pot and fill with water and lemon juice. Put a small plate and a bowl of water on top of the leaves. Cook until done, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. |
