STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES | |
1 lb. ground lamb 1/2 c. rice, uncooked 1 tsp. dried onion flakes 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lg. egg V-8 or home canned tomato juice Sm. grape leaves Mix all ingredients except juice. Wash grape leaves and soak in boiling water about 5 minutes. Drain leaves on paper towels. Put about 1 tablespoon meat mixture on each grape leaf. Wrap and put seam side down in baking dish. Pour about 1 cup juice over filled leaves. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, covered with foil. Remove foil. Bake 15 minutes longer. These make excellent appetizers, either sliced or served whole. They freeze well. |
