GRITS AND CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 c. uncooked grits
6 c. water
3 eggs
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 lb. longhorn cheese, cut in small chunks
3 tsp. savory salt
2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
Dash Tabasco
Small can green chilies, optional

Cook grits in 6 cups water until done, about 35 minutes. Beat eggs and add to grits with remaining ingredients. Stir in cheese and butter until cheese melts. Bake in 9x12 inch baking dish for one hour at 250 degrees. Serves 12.
