SPICED PEACH DUMPLINGS | |
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can sliced peaches 1/4 c. white sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 1/3 c. biscuit mix 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/3 c. milk 2 tbsp. cooking oil 2 tbsp. chopped pecans In saucepan, mix peaches, sugar, butter and lemon juice. Bring to boil. In large bowl, mix all other ingredients, except nuts. Drop this mixture by spoonfuls into hot peach mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Serve hot with light cream or ice cream. |
