CROCK POT APPLEBUTTER 
1 dozen large apples
3/4 to 1 1/2 c. sugar for each cup of fruit
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves, if desired

Peel and pit apples. Slice into eights and cook in crock pot on high for 4 hours.

Process cooked apples in food processor and return to crock pot.

Add sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook on high another 4-6 hours (this will be your choice for thickness). Last 1/2 to 1 hour cook with lid off. Cool and eat on butter bread. May be canned and stored. May use peaches, too.
