OATMEAL BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. butterscotch chips
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. nuts

Cream together shortening, sugars, eggs, water and vanilla. Mix flour, salt, soda and add creamed mixture. Add butterscotch chips, oatmeal and nuts. Bake on greased sheets at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
