EASY DEER STEW
(Beef cubes may be substituted for deer cubes, but do not marinate.) 2 med. onions 1 lg. can sliced carrots 1 lg. can cut green beans 8-10 med. potatoes (cubed) 1 sm. can tomato paste 2 bay leaves Salt Pepper Garlic powder

Remove all fat from deer meat. Cube meat and soak in water with 3 tablespoons of salt and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar added. Soak overnight in refrigerator.

Drain cubes of vinegar and brine solution the next day. Rinse cubes thoroughly in fresh water.

Place deer cubes, 2 sliced onions (salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste) in large pot. Brown cubes slightly.

Add carrots, beans, potatoes, small can of tomato paste and 2 bay leaves to browned cubes. Add water to completely cover all ingredients. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder as per personal taste.

Simmer slowly, covered, stirring occasionally for 2 1/2 - 3 hours until broth slightly thickens. Add water during simmering if required.

Leave covered to cool slightly for 1/2 hour before serving.

(Tastes even better as a leftover since broth soaks into all ingredients.)
