GRANDMOTHER'S LEGACY 
30 old fashion ginger snaps
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. orange marmalade
3/4 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. dark seedless raisins
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. dark brown sugar

ORANGE CREAM SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. grated orange rind

Place broken ginger snaps in large bowl. Combine next 3 ingredients, then add to ginger snaps.

Sift together next 5 ingredients. Add raisins, nuts and brown sugar. Stir into ginger snaps.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cake pan. Pour above mixture in pan and bake until done.

TOPPING:

2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. half and half or milk
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts if desired

Combine sugar, butter, cream in small bowl. Beat at highest speed until smooth. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spoon on warm cake and spread to cover. Broil until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
