BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. bacon fat or shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk

Sift together all dry ingredients. Add shortening. Mix together then add buttermilk. Roll out on floured board 1/2 inch thick. Cut with cutter and bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
