CINNAMON - RAISIN DROP COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter, softened
3 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix brown sugar, shortening, butter and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen. (For a change, substitute currants for raisins and use chopped almonds.)
