CALICO BEANS 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. bacon, diced
1 lg. onion, chopped (1 c.)
1/2 c. catsup
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
4 tsp. cider or white vinegar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 can (30 oz.) pork and beans
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans
1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans
1 pkg. (10 oz.0 frozen lima beans (thawed under hot water)

Cook ground beef, bacon and onion. Drain only if there is an excessive amount of fat. Stir in catsup, salt, mustard, and vinegar. Combine remaining ingredients in a 3 quart casserole; stir in meat mixture; cover. Bake until bubbly garnish with strips of crisp bacon. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. 8 servings.
