SPICE CUPCAKES 
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Stir in sour milk and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Spoon into cupcake paper lined tins. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Great for picnics.

Can make sour milk by adding a little vinegar to the cup of milk.
