CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter, melted or oil
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
2 tbsp. butter
3 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sift 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together. Cream 1 cup sugar, butter and 2 eggs. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. In large bowl, add dry ingredients. Stir well. Add nuts.

Blend together 2 tablespoons butter and cream cheese until soft. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Beat well. Blend in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Set aside. Spread half of chocolate mixture into greased 8-inch square pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over top. Add rest of chocolate mixture. Zigzag with spatula to make marble look.

Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
