COCOA BARS 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter to soften. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, creaming well. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture. Add nuts. Spread in a greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 20 minutes or until done. At once frost cake with cocoa frosting.

COCOA FROSTING:

1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. soft butter
2/3 c. sifted confectioner's sugar

With a spoon blend all the ingredients and pour over cocoa bars that have cooled for 15 minutes.
