RICH PASTRY CRUST 
4 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vinegar
2/3 c. water, if needed

Cut shortening and butter into flour with fork or pastry blender until it resembles coarse crumbs. Make a hole, add next 3 ingredients. Add water only as needed. Makes 2 double crusts or 4 single crusts.
