PUMPKIN CAKE 
1 c. Crisco or Puritan Oil
2 c. pumpkin (1 can)
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix first 4 ingredients. Sift together next 4 ingredients, then add gradually and beat after mixing each addition. Pour into three 9 inch pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

ICING:

1 1/2 (6 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well. Spread between layers with 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Finishing icing outside of cake. Decorate with whole pecans, if desired.
