PICANTE SAUCE 
20 med. tomatoes, scald, peel & mash
3 chopped green peppers
3 onions, chopped
3 jalapenos, chopped
1 can green chilies, chopped
1 1/2 c. tomato paste
1 tsp. cumin
3 tsp. oregano
2 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
2 c. vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice
3 tbsp. salt

Bring to a boil, simmer 2 hours until thickened. Put in jars and seal. Process. Makes 8 pints.
