CHOCOLATE CHIP CHERRY NUT SQUARES LOGAN | |
3/4 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.) 3/4 c. candied cherries, halved 1 c pecans, chopped coarse 1/2 stick unsalted butter, melted and cooled (1/4 c.) 2 lg. eggs, beaten lightly 1 tsp. vanilla Into a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar; stir in chocolate chips, cherries, pecans, butter, eggs, an vanilla and combine the mixture well. Transfer mixture to buttered 9 inch square baking pan and bake in middle of preheated 300 degree oven for 50-60 minutes, or until top is golden and wooden pick inserted in center comes out with crumbs clinging to it. Let mixture cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares. |
