CABBAGE ROLLS OR GOLUMKY 
3 lbs. ground meat (beef or pork)
1 egg
1/2 med. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. rinsed rice, uncooked
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. warm water
1 lg. head cabbage
1 lg. can stewed tomatoes or 1 lg. can sauerkraut

Mix first seven ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Scald a large head of cabbage. Take leaves apart. Place 1/2 cup of mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf and roll (may be fastened with a toothpick). Place rolls in a large pan and cover with a large can of tomatoes or you may use a large can of sauerkraut. Cover cabbage rolls with water and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
