TOSTADA SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
1 (14 oz.) can red kidney beans (drained)
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1/4 tsp. salt
1 head lettuce (torn in pieces)
4 oz. Cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 c. Thousand Island Dressing
1 lg. avocado (sliced)
1 lg. pkg. tortilla chips
4 tomatoes (cut in wedges)

Brown ground beef and onion in skillet. Add beans, taco seasoning and salt. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Combine lettuce, cheese, dressing, chips, avocado and tomatoes. Reserve a few chips, avocado and tomatoes for garnish. Add beef mixture and toss lightly. Place in serving bowl - garnish. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
